Tree Removal Permit
Under the Local Law, you must acquire a Tree Works Permit before conducting any activities (such as pruning or removal) on a tree categorised as ‘significant.’ A tree is considered Significant if it meets any of the following criteria:
- It possesses a trunk circumference of 140 cm or more when measured at 1.4 m above its base.
- It has a combined circumference of all its trunks, reaching 140 cm or more when measured at 1.4 m above its base.
- It boasts a trunk circumference of 180 cm or more when measured at its base.
- It displays a collective circumference of all its trunks, measuring 180 cm or more when measured at its base.
- If a Significant Landscape Overlay is in place, it’s essential to obtain a permit before undertaking any tree pruning or removal activities.
